About Us

My Roots

Hi everyone, I’m Tim Chen (Chen Xu).

I come from Mt. Mengding in Ya’an, Sichuan. To the world, this mountain is legendary—recognized as the birthplace of tea cultivation. But to me, it is simply home.

I was born right here, into a family of tea farmers that has tended this land for generations. My childhood wasn’t defined by city noise, but by the mist of early spring and the warmth of my father’s hands working the fields. I grew up watching my family roast fresh leaves, and that unique, earthy aroma is a memory that is carved into my bones.

Our Shared Journey

Today, my wife and I carry this tradition forward together. We founded “Chun Shan Cha Yan” (春山茶研) on a simple belief: we need to hold on to the things that ground us. In English, it means “Studying Tea in the Spring Mountains.” For us, it is more than a name—it is our way of honoring the craft we love.

The Mission

This is why, to the world, we introduce ourselves simply as a “Sichuan Tea Supplier.” It might sound like a plain business title, but to us, it is a badge of honor. It means we are the source. Sichuan tea is legendary but often undiscovered by the world. My wife and I see ourselves as your guides. Our mission is to help you bypass the commercial noise and find the authentic, high-quality tea hiding in our mountains.

The Invitation

So, I invite you to do what we do back home: disconnect, sit down with someone you care about, and “Brew it slow.”When you drink this tea, you are tasting more than just a flavor. You are tasting the legacy of Mt. Mengding, the dedication of our family, and a genuine invitation from my wife and me to share in the peace of the Sichuan lifestyle.
